all the little things...

hey girls
so now that the major planning is over (except limos) I am starting to realize why weddings make people crazy and stressed...
1.bridesmaid dresses...
I am trying to limit BM dresses to $150.00 before alterations...My sister (MOH) lives in FL for school and is going back in 3w and because of our schedules we haven't had time to look yet. I know I have time, but she won't be home again until Christmas so we have to go at least once together - and then there is just finding a dress that i actually like! the ones i like are too expensive (250+) or they dont have the color i like or i just dont find anything!
2. bachelorette party...
$$$$$$$!!!! I found an amazing vacation rental in miami beach around the same price as a hotel...told my sister...who told my bridal party...and my dear cousin who i love called me and said that it may not be a great idea because its 20min cab right from south beach and it may be a lot of money for taxis...i get it - it may be ... BUT we will be paying for bfast and lunch if we stay at a hotel..i thought that would be a big save for everyone since the house i found is GORGEOUS and we could have meals there instead of eating out for bfast/lunch...the taxi idea isnt an issue there are plenty of car services in miami who have those vans/trucks that we could have exclusively for our weekend with a driver. id rather spend money on that then a creepy cab driver...
i have time for this and honestly i shouldnt have to plan my own bachelorette party (although my sister isnt into the whole bridal mode bc she is younger so she will need guidance)

3. STD aren't out yet .. wedding is in may.. our photographer said 6-9 mo but im concerned of course bc i always worry...

its just 'all the little things' at this point that are driving me insane!!!

Bridesmaids Dresses:
I tried to stick to under $150 too and I just absolutely couldn't find any dresses that wowed me. All I found were Bill Levkoff's that didn't do anything for me.

Try asking the store where you bought your bridal dress if they'll give you a discount on bridesmaids. BR Massapequa offers 10% off if you buy them there, which was definitely helpful because I wound up picking Jim Hjelm BM dresses for $250.

Save the Dates
You definitely shouldn't stress this! I'm such a control freak and I was so anxious to send out Save the Dates...we sent them in May to our closest friends and family, then sent the rest out within the next few weeks. I'm still waiting to send them to my work friends until the end of July. Chances are if you send them out too early, most people will lose or forget them.

1. Where have you been looking for BM dresses? I haven't really looked too hard, but I feel like $200 is probably about average from the little shopping I have done. Maybe check David's? I feel like they don't have the best BM dress selection if you have a certain vision, but it's worth a shot!

2. Can you rent a car instead of relying on taxis? That would probably be less expensive than taxis. Or other public transportation, like a bus?

3. I'm only sending mine out so far in advance because it's a holiday weekend. Otherwise for July, I probably would have waited until October or November to send them out. So you're fine! Did you order the STDs?
