ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

Question for you all, how far along were you when it happened. When did the bleeding stop. This seem like it is going to go on forever, sorry if this is TMI Anyway today as I was thinking about this pregnancy that will never be I got a little sad. I know a lot of people say I am an encouragement to them, but today I guess I needed a little encouragement. Someone sent me one of the sweetest emails. God does know what we need even before we know we will need it. I was 4 weeks

So I thought I will share it here, it might encourage someone else.

Hi Shamma,
I don't always keep up with what goes on, on the boards. So, I just saw your post regarding your miscarriage. I will attempt to make this as short as possible. I am so sorry. I don't personally know you, but I was genuinely happy for you when you announced your pregnancy.

Just a word of encouragement... Because God made you, created you and has declared your destiny...He knew that you would be going through this situation. So this is not a mistake. It is not an obstacle. It is a stepping stone in your faith.

Remember there is purpose in this situation. You never know who God will place in your path...that you will have to share your testimony with. There are some things involving this process that I'm sure can only be understood when you go through it.

So just a reminder that you are blessed and highly favored and god will give you the desires of your heart. Events in our lives do not happen by chance...remember, the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God.

Much love....
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Miscarriage # 1 - 10 weeks

I never spotted or had any indication that there was a problem. HCG levels were rising steadily, saw a heartbeat ans thought all was well. Went for another sono, there was a sac, but no viable fetus. Had a D&C and had very heavy bleeding for 7-10 days.

Miscarriage # 2 - 5 weeks

No spotting, but HCG levels were not great from the start, decided to miscarry naturally. Bled for 5 days just like a normal cycle.

Miscarriage # 3 - 8 weeks

Same scenario as the first, however I developed an infection after the D & C and ran a fever of 102 for a few days

Re: ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

Only I knew about it when it happened. I hide it from Dh since I was very early only about 6 weeks and basically I miscarried about 2 days after I got my positive result.

The hormones were worse for me then the bleeding.

The hardest part for me was I knew when my due date was and it was hard when I reached that date because even though I didn't carry more then 6 weeks I still felt like there should have been a baby.

I have some residual mental scars though, the night I finally broke down and told him we were on our way to a friends home for a crawfish boil. By time I got there I was upset since I finally shared it with DH and let it out and now I have a true hatred for crawfish. I see them and it reminds me of what we didn't have.

My mom had a miscarriage before my brother and then once after him and immediatly got pregant with me so I am not discouraged at all. All else fails that baby made Dh and I grow up a bit more faster, it also made me realized I need to share things more even if I think it would have been a real tough time in his training to tell him. I also realized that we are both ready to be parents and would be estatic if I got a positive result again.

We also got our dog, Byron because of the miscarriage and that dog is truely a Godsend sometime when I get sad. The dog is probably a better reader of my emotions then DH so atleast if Dh sees the dog is worried he knows to be extra nice.. lol

I wish you all the best and I don't know about everyone else's Dh but it was harder on me, especially with bleeding and hormones which were all things he couldn't understand. It was much easier for him to brush it off so to speak.

Re: ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

Well I have accepted it, its just today as I was sitting at my desk I came to the realization that I will not experience all the things that I was expecting to go thru. I guess all the joy and excitement came to a halt in on big jolt. I am still thankful and I am not sad at all. I know God makes no mistakes. I just wanted to hear how everyone else was doing and how it was.

I hate the bleeding, I guess I have only been bleeding now for 6 days, I hate having my period and this is just like it...YUCK and yes I have to go back to make sure that my HCG levels return to zero so yes there will be more needles YUCK to that too. Anyway my OB said that my levels are down to 124, so I am well on my way

I am really excited and ready for the time that God sees fit to bless us.

Stay encouraged everyone we are going to be mommies one day.

Re: ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

Shamma,
2 weeks ago yesterday I had a D&C. I was about 8 weeks although the baby had stopped growing probably about a week earlier. I went to the Dr. for a sonogram and they didn't see a heartbeat. I then went to a radiologist office for a more advanced sono and they couldn't find a heartbeat either.
I spotted for a few days after the D&C and had cramping for about a week. I have to go back Monday for a follow up. I did feel more at peace when I physically felt better.
I know this is common and I know its not my fault, that there was something wrong with the baby and God took care of it. And although I'm slowly coming to peace with it, my faith has been tested.
We TTC for about 7 months and we were so happy to be preggo. I felt so empty leaving the hospital not pregnant. I still ache when I see a baby or when I think about what might have been. We can start TTC soon and I'm trying to look on the positive side. There must have been a reason, I keep telling myself.
This has brought my DH and I together much closer than we were before- and that is the most positive part. I never thought I could love him more and this has made me see that we truly are meant for each other.
On a really sweet note, my DH got me a sweet memento of our baby- a butterfly tanzanite & diamond pendant which gives me a reminder of the hope and joy we had and will have in the future.
It is normal to feel sad and OK to let it out- its how we move on and heal. Our time will come- and just think at how much more precious and welcomed our first baby will be!

Re: ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

OK, you wanna talk about TMI. Well I was on the same schedule as you Shamma.

I was spotty on Saturday when it all started. Sunday it got worse with clots. Tuesday and Wednesday were the worst. VERY clotty. Then I must say I had one HUGE clot (this is where the TMI is) and the bleeding has all but stopped. Hopefully this was just like my period and I can expect my next one April 7th and get pregnant right after that.

This time we are gonna TRY not... not try.

Re: ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

What I did not realize also is that the preggo symptoms do not leave right away, the body is a funny machine. I still get the bloating, my boobs are still sore, I think this is crazy Once there is no more baby everything should cease. I wonder when my period will return. Not that I am looking forward to this, after all this darn bleeding, I deserve a break of pure ovulation w/o AF

THanks for sharing ladies, I appreciate it

Re: ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD A MISCARRIAGE

So if we can get pregnant that quickly why does my dr want me to wait until 2 complete cycle??

Karen, I had those heavy bleeding too...can we say YUCK. Maybe we will be preggo together again, God has his timing and I will wait on him. I will not time or try. I am just going to let it happen.

Shamma yes, YUCK!!! We were actually trying not to this past month... and look what happens. We've decided not to stop the inevitable now. We arent going to prevent anything after I get my period back this time.

Shamma,

I am so sorry and am sending you lots of

I can't even begin to imagine what you and our other wonderful ladies who have experienced a miscarriage are going through.

Not conceiving at all is so painful and frustrating to me but I know having a miscarriage is so totally different.

I hate that any of you have had to go through this. MichelleW where do you find the strength. I can only guess it comes from above.

I think it's wonderful you all have each other for support and information. It makes me happy to know that if this kind of thing ever befalls me I will have a support system all set to go.
