All wood floors...

So I just found out that my venue is taking out its carpet and replacing it with wood floor. This is good because it allows the dance floor placement to be flexible (with the carpeting, the dance floor was in the corner). Buuut, does this mean it's going to be super loud now b/c there's no carpets to absorb the sound??? Has anyone been to a wedding where there was all wood floor? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Yeah, is this at Timber Point? My brother's getting married there in May, so I wonder if they know about this. When do they plan on doing it?

Re: All wood floors...

Yes, it's Timber Point. It supposedly will be done by their winter showcase, which is Feb 17th I think.

Sand Castle isn't all wood, but there are no carpets in the place, and I think Jericho Terrace is the same its all marble and wood. I think you should be ok, but it may depend on the specific place I'm not sure

The music is so loud and there are a lot of bodies, tables, and chairs to absorb noise you will have nothing to worry about. I've been to plenty of woodnfloornweddings

I went to a wedding with wooden floors, and didn't notice any noise from it. Chairs being pulled in and out on a wood floor can make noise - but most venues have the little felt pieces on the bottoms of chair legs to prevent that and floor scratching also.
