thanks ladies...i had a feeling that alli may not be good. i read their side effects and thought i dont want any of them lol

i weight about 140 and want to lose 20lbs before the wedding. based on losing 10% of my body weight in 12 weeks i would be THRILLED to lose 14 pounds before the wedding

i guess i have to modify my food intake even more

Are you on a plan? I recommend Weight Watchers whole-heartedly, considering my success

I also highly recommend WW. Sometimes it's not just about calories, but it can be overwhelming to try to understand how to factor everything else in. I think WW does a nice job of making that easy, and you never feel deprived. I have been doing it for 11 years and I love it. When I first started I lost 30 pounds, and I have kept it off for the most part, give or take 5 pounds here and there.

I've had success with Weight Watchers and the Abs Diet. If you stick to it with either, you could probably make significant progress in 3 months.

I'm not sure how tall you are but I'm assuming you are already at a pretty 'normal' weight range at 140. Abs Diet may be the better way to go, it focuses on replacing fat with building lean muscle. You could reach your goal, or at the very least with more muscle you will look more sculpted for pics.

HTH!

thanks i am going to look this up...i never heard of it before

The book is written by the editor of Men's Health and is a really good/quick read. The plan is easy to follow, too. Here's a link for more info, or feel free to FM me!

Have you considered Weight Watchers? I lost 60lbs (and kept it off) before my wedding! It's a great and easy plan to follow.

I've tried alli out of curiousity but I'm not a pill taker so I'd forget to take the pills most of the time. Never had explosive diahrea thank goodness but that's kind of the point IMO of the pills because it's like automatic consequences to your food choices. If you eat heavy fattening foods, you'll have stomach cramps and diahrea so the idea is that the person would avoid that KWIM?

I'm hating my scale right now toooo although My measurements are down and I feel firmer...but I still hate to see the scale not budge
