alli= explosive diareah....
THIS!
I know people who have taken it, but I would never. NOT fun.
Also, with 3 months until your wedding, what if it really caused some stomach issues for you?
I've seriously just learned to accept that maybe I can lose 5-10 more lbs by the wedding and that's that. It's stressful enough without pressuring myself more.
I'm saying this as someone who weighs close to 200 lbs, and you probably weigh less.
ETA: I have lost almost 40 lbs on weight watchers. I have personally lost it very slowly over a long period of time, but they do say that in 12 weeks you can expect to lose 10% of your body weight., so that's 10-20lbs lost in a healthy way!
ACCEPT YOURSELF!

Re: alli or other weight loss help!
thanks ladies...i had a feeling that alli may not be good. i read their side effects and thought i dont want any of them lol
i weight about 140 and want to lose 20lbs before the wedding. based on losing 10% of my body weight in 12 weeks i would be THRILLED to lose 14 pounds before the wedding
i guess i have to modify my food intake even more

Re: alli or other weight loss help!
i have a few lbs to shed and those are the hardest but you really have to watch your food intake. i exercise a lot and i realized the thing that helped me shed the lbs that i've shedded the last few months was counting my calories. i use the dailyplate.com. it's a lot of discipline but soooooooooo worth it!

Re: alli or other weight loss help!
its really all about eating 5 to 6 small meals a day dont waste all your calories on drinks, dressings and sauces, and do at least 30- 45 minutes of cardio a day, by getting your heart rate up over 135bpm
these fads dont work! i tried all the fads, and the 'pills' and other craop ways to loose weight, and I actually gained weight!! because I wasnt doing it the right way.

Are you on a plan? I recommend Weight Watchers whole-heartedly, considering my success

Re: alli or other weight loss help!
I've had success with Weight Watchers and the Abs Diet. If you stick to it with either, you could probably make significant progress in 3 months.
I'm not sure how tall you are but I'm assuming you are already at a pretty 'normal' weight range at 140. Abs Diet may be the better way to go, it focuses on replacing fat with building lean muscle. You could reach your goal, or at the very least with more muscle you will look more sculpted for pics.
HTH!

I would be happy losing 10 lbs in 3 months! anything would be nice - my weight literally fluctuations within 1 lb each day no matter what i am doing that is why i am so frustrated
i eat a granola bar and banana for breakfast then i snack on fruit (today is tangerines) before lunch lunch is a salad with low fat dressing and sometimes grilled chicken then i snack on more fruit (usually grapes) dinner varies - mostly chicken of some type (but not fried) and once a week a meat
when i need a snack i try to either have some dried cranberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, apples or peaches
its very frustrating i dont know what else to cut - i mean i know i can make healthier dinners but thats the one meal i like to eat and we dont go crazy with unhealthy-ness

Re: alli or other weight loss help!
I just weighed my self yesterday and lost 8 pounds!! I had been doing 30 min on the elliptical but I try to do 3 miles in those 30 minutes on the random setting so the difficulty changes.
For breakfast, have been eating fruit or Chobani yogurt which I think is 6oz so it's pretty filling. Snack on clementines or nuts when I'm hungry. Lunch one slice of turkey and low fat cheese and tomato in a small whole wheat pita or a healthy choice steamed meal. Dinner is the one thing I eat whatever but I have learned to control my portions and eat slower.
It takes a lot of discipline chica, good luck!

Re: alli or other weight loss help!
What are you doing at the gym?
Maybe you can tone up more? Do you need to vary your routine?
I am not really the person to ask since I have a bad back and can't work out a lot, but maybe some of the other girls can help you vary your routine. Your body can quickly get used to a fitness routine so I know you need to change it up a bit,.
