Allure 'bride' addition made me mad!

It said such stupid stuff...

Like in the 'Don't'list it says
NEVER wear a french manicure, it looks like white out and babara striesand wears it'
NEVER wear color on your nails, only clear and Beige are acceptable
NEVER dictate a style for Bm hair.. okay i can understand the SAME style but what about saying you need an updo.

NEVER wear tendrils in your hair.. I LIKE TENDRILS..
NO Garter removals.. Okay I know this is cheesy.. BUT I AM DOING IT!!

Then it says you can lose wieght for your wedding.. You just can't eat anything normal.. you must trade ice cream for chocolate tofu!!! UMM NOOO.. DOn't eat carbs weeks before the wedding so you don't bloat.. I love my wedding but I am not starving myself for it...
You can have nice skin but the stress of the wedding will make you break out so schedule derm. appointments leading up to the wedding and the day before to zap last minute zits.... I can't afford this soo whatever?

YOu really should get laser hair removal... OH really.. wanna pay for it ALLURE...

UGH I am gunna be an ugly fat, Tacky, zit faced, ice cream eating bride.... AND I DON'T CARE.. I am throwing this mag out!

OKAY I should say that I have been sick since wed. and only today got my MD to give me meds and I am miserable and a little emotional
I haven't been to the gym in a week!!

I feel your pain!! I'm doing the garter removal, and I don't think I can give up carbs for my life, but I still need to loose 10-15 pounds.

that is fashion for you. they need to change it every 5 days to keep up the business or they wouldn't make any money. Ever see Josey and the Pussy Cats the movie? 'Orange is the new Pink' Trust me, by the time you get married, tendrals will be in, hot pink nails will be fashonable, and everyone will be doing the hairy armpit look!

I saw that Allure article too and couldn't believe some of the things they considered fashion 'don'ts' for the wedding. I love french manicures and do not think they are tacky at all! Most people I know got that for their wedding. And some of their other suggestions are just ridiculous. I guess I'll be a bloated bride with Barbara Streisand nails too! Oh well...

i was so annoyed after reading that too!!!!! my favorite was the profile of the girl who lost a lot of weight before her wedding - she says 'i developed this crazy, neurotic obsession where i was dreaming about food'

I saw this article also...and then decided to throw out the magazine...it was obvious that my opions and views were clearly different, and I'm going to plan and do what I want for my wedding....no stuffy... I'm to stylish for you writer, is going to dictate to me what in and whats out!!!!!
