a few kids in my class have been sick and today after my break i started feeling super sick...i leave an hour early take my temp..it's 103.3...i then wait a little then take it again it spiked to 104.2! thats pretty dangerous considering my normal temp is only in the 97's thankfully i took a cold shower, a cold washcloth and well...am laying pretty much naked and its down to 101 now but if it got any higher...fh was ready to drive me to the er...very scary. See THIS is why i need insurance.
i found out 2 kids in my class have kawasakis disease. Its very contagious..mostly in children under 5 but either way i, as well as my class, was exposed to it. And ive had a fever for over 24 hours now..its gone down a lot..but nonetheless...still there..ugggghhhhh and im missing my friends' ( summertimegal from the 09 boards) bachelorette party :( im so sad

wow i am glad u are feeling better yea insurance is important try to drink a lot of fluids
Ok be careful - I would call your doctor just be on the safe side...

If you need insurance and don't have any try Healthyny.com. I recommended it to my sister who is a per diem special ed teacher and isn't covered by the school. They have some reasonably priced packages and the coverage is decent.

I wouldn't totally rule out not going to the ER..make sure you check your temp often and keep drinking lots of fluids! 104 is way high

Feel better!!!!!! Im a teacher also and I know that we get exposed to so much and most of the time get it too. Sorry to hear that!

wow! I hope feel better. everybody's sick these days... I am sick myself, I think I got something at work where most of my co-workers been extremely sick. tell ur FH to make lots and lots of tea for u and give u medicine
