Aloha ladies! what's been cookin' (EDITED with pics)
I am (sadly) back at work from my Hawaiian weekend. it was phuquing phantastic!
we hit the town running, going to beaches on all four sides, eating at some local joints (and some $$ and famouser ones LOL) mimosas by day, mai tai's by night....
the concert was INCREDIBLE. I had such a great time. Pearl Jam was amazing...to energetic and excited to play...Alive, Better Man, Evenflow- all awesome.
U2- not much to say except they made my life...the concert was beautiful-emotional, forceful...fun. they ended with All I Want Is You (had I died right then, my life would have been complete)
Billy Joe from greenday was there, and they did The Saints Are Coming...again awesome...and then they ended the concert with a duet with Pearl Jam (and Eddie giving Bono a bear hug...yes Jill...it was a beautiful thing)
the Hawaiian's are fun people...great sense of humor and attitude. the luau was fun (if a bit 'kitschy') and I hulaed my arse with the best of them.
there was one 'disaster' but I won't mar this review of my trip with the dirty details...
I wish I was still there, but I missed you girls and am happy to come home to the utter randomness of NWR.![]()
