Alot went down at Davids yesterday!
So I went with my girls yesterday to Davids in Jersey to shop for dresses. What a crazy, stressful experience! First what should have been a half hr drive took an hr and a half because my BIL's gps got us lost but whatever. Although we were extremely late for our appt, the staff at Davids was still very accommodating and helpful.
My consultant Alana let us walk around pulling out dresses to try on and right away we found my little sisters junior bridesmaid dress. It will be in lilac.
Next was my mothers dress and she narrowed it down to three then eventually chose this one.
Next were the BM's and holy crap what a mess. We went in with the intentions of the girls getting this dress
and MOH getting this dress.
But browsing through dresses we fell in LOVE with this one for the BM..so much so that MOH was even gonna give up standing out from the rest of the bridal party and getting the same one. Unfortunately we found out it doesnt come in our color.
We were back to square one after 2 hrs and narrowed it down to this one. Not everyone loves it, I LOVE it but I think everyone was so frustrated already that they didnt care. It looks great on all of them though.
I have been going back and forth between my dress and this other dress on the Davids site for weeks so I figured since I was there I would try on the new one to make my doubts go away. I also got Alana to bring me a few other dresses to compare. When I put this new dress on, omg that was it. I didnt want to take it off, I didnt want to try anything else on. It fit like a glove and its sooo beautiful. My old dress was beautiful in ivory but in white the beading sort of becomes invisible. On this new dress the beading sticks out and there arent that many pick ups. What made me fall in love with it on the website was the back of it.
At first Alana told me I could exchange it but didnt realize I bought my first dress almost a year ago. She saw how upset I was and tried to talk to the manager for me. The manager explained to me that they cant exchange cuz its been so long and also because my first dress has been discontinued. The waterworks started and I had my first bridezilla moment. My FBIL's girlfriend offered to buy it for me but noooo way could I accept something like that. So my mother bought it but I have to either sell the first or pay her back after the wedding because she also paid for the first dress. I got to take my dress home the same day so its hanging in my room and Im trying reaaal hard not to try put it on.
I just showed FH pics of the old dress and he didnt like all the pick ups that it was too much lol. I guess I made a good choice with the new one.
