Already regretting my rsvps...

On our RSVP's, we put down ' ____ persons attending' like everyone does, and I so wish we didn't because I already had a co-worker text me and ask if that means he can bring someone. Meanwhile, I know he doesn't have a girlfriend, and I figured the co-workers would have each other to hang out with.. I guess I was wrong.

I felt bad. I told him that if he wants to bring someone, sure, but I had told our other co-worker that I was inviting them without guests because there are a bunch of co-workers going so I figured they'd all be together. So he told me he'd let me know if he was bringing someone. I really hope he doesn't.. I know it's just one extra person but I know he isn't seeing anyone, and I invited a lot of other co-workers... I hope they all don't do the same thing!

Re: Already regretting my rsvps...

do ppl not understand the meaning of address put on the invite?
I was invited to 4 weddings last year. Only one of which it said on Ms Regina K and a guest. The rest had only my name on them which was a sign that I was invited by myself, and this knowing nothing about wedding attiqet.
Do ppl just pretend to be illiterate, or they really are???

Dont stress this, I am sure many will ask and u just say no.

Re: Already regretting my rsvps...

I can forgive her because she's my bridesmaid, but my friend asked me if she could bring her friend (another girl) as her guest to my wedding. To which I quickly replied, no. Now, of course if anyone is dating someone seriously they will be invited with a guest, but no friends. It's not like she won't know anyone there! She'll know EVERYONE!!! Anyway, then she went on to say that it's so-and-so's birthday and that's why she'd want to bring her. Excuse me, but a) I do not know her and b) I'm not celebrating the birthday of someone I don't know on my wedding day!!!

So yeah, no people don't know these things and it's making me very nervous that people will assume they can bring a guest. My nightmare is that all of FH's friends show up with guests when they weren't invited with one.
