My FH is from Hicksville!!
He LOVED living there. His whole family lives there still and they love it. If it wasnt so expensive to buy a house, I would of looked at Hicksville as one of my choices...
Seaford, Wantagh, Massapequa, Levittown & Plainview are a few other nice places to look into as well..

I grew up in Hicksville too... and father vinny is marrying me too.... Ur FH didnt go to Holy Family did he???
As for Hicksville there are good parts and bad as in every town. I think you would want to stay more south Hickville if possible (by south I mean South of Old country Rd). It is a small town type community where most of the people in the neighborhood know each other from Church or school and they look out for each other and each others kids. At least on my block neighbors are very friendly and look out for each other especially the older community.
I would love to live here but at the same time I have been here for 28yrs so it is time for a change.

Hi Jo Ann..
My FH did go to Holy Family and so did his brother and sister..actually his whole family cousins and all went there..
My FMIL, my FH grandmother, and his aunt all teach religion at Holy Family.. AND my FMIL is a Eucharistic Minister (a Reader) at Holy Family..
Father Vinny is so nice and has a great sence of humor. I'm really happy he's going to perform our ceremony.
