Okay. My salon is charging me $510 for all of my alterations to include: Hemming ($280 something), pressing ($80), Bustle ($100 something) and then of course all the taxes. Is this highway robbery?

I think that's a bit on the high end.
(Esp. since it is half the cost of your gown!!)

I got my dress at BR in Carle Place. I thought my alterations were high, but it was nowhere near that. I thought it was ridiculous that they charged $110 or $120 for just the hem. They have a $250 cap on alterations. I didn't reach the cap though. They also charged me $150 (I think) for a bustle. I don't think they charged for pressing. IMO, $510 is incredibly high for alterations.

What does the dress look like? Is there a lot of detail?
Even then...mine has a LOT of detail and alterations were capped at $125!

It seems high to me. I used RK and I got the same deal for less. (and I considered RK pretty expensive.)
Is your bustle complicated?

I got a Maggie too...$1400...but I have free alterations. I would have died if I heard that was the alteration cost.
I would take it someplace else for alterations.

It sounds a bit on the high side considering the cost of your dress.
