How close to the wedding are you all scheduling your alterations? Not sure when to schedule mine and I keep putting it off...

my friend just had her first fitting on Thursday and her wedding is May 7

I did my first fitting in early March
Second one was on Saturday
Third one will be next week (the dress is basically good to go minus one thing)
And then I will pick it up the day before.

Okay, so I probably don't need to start alterations until the beginning of May? I think I'll need three rounds since I'm adding beading. So maybe the end of April?
I'm so scared to start alterations.

My first fitting is April 9....since May is basically booked and I can squeeze fitting #2 in there, Memorial day weekend is FH's graduation, then I can't be back till June!

you should def call them and see how time they would need for your beading! plus June is a popular month and they might be extremely busy with a lot of dresses. i know when i was looking for a place to do my alterations, a lot of them told me they couldn't take me b/c june is a big wedding month.

6 weeks before. Then had another to do the bustle and check the taking in of the top 2 weeks later. The 3rd is scheduled for 3 weeks after that. Then if nothing else needs to be done I'll go the week to a few days before to check again. then picking it up 1-2 days before
