How much can a dress be altered? I ordered a dress in a size that was a HUGE shock to me, although I know that bridal sizing is not the same as your street clothing size. Still, I worry that when I lose weight for the wedding, they will not be able to alter it. Do you know if a dress can be taken in a significant amount? I'm nervous!!

you can usually take in a dress up to four sizes. Also, bridal gown sizes are usually two off than regular dresses. The number was probably shocking, but it SHOULD be bigger than you are used to. It's always better to go bigger and take it in.
