Alterations at Bridal Elegance

I am buying my dress at BE.

My sister was thinking about buying at DB and possbily getting it altered at BE. Anyone know if they would do that or will they only alter gowns?

If so, I know their cap for BM dresses is $75 but what would it be if she were to do this?

I bought my wedding gown at bridal suit in bay shore and had phyllis alter it at her location--she had no problem with it. so i'm sure BM dresses would be fine. (i bought the BM dresses from her--and her alterations cap for BM dress should be only about $45-55)

my mom and MIL bought their dresses at estelle's and Phyllis altered both of their dresses.

i think she charges a little more for alterations if you didn't use her for the gowns. like i know her bridal gown gap is usually about $175 -- but she charged me $225 (with french bustle) - but i was ok with that as she did an AWESOME job on my gown

Call and double check. I didnt buy my dress from her but she is doing my alterations also. She did tell me though that when its her busy time, she doesnt do alterations on gowns that werent purchased from her.

I think she may have raised her prices drastically. I was just there last week and she said my alterations capped at $300 and I believe the bm dresses capped at $65

I wonder if the prices have changed or something. I thought she told me the alterations for my dress was a $200 cap. She said she wouldn't charge for a simple bustle but it was $10 per point or something like that. I could be completely wrong. No clue

I'm sure if she did all that, she would probably do my sisters dress. I'll have to let sis know since she might do Impressions which she could just get at BE (if you saw my other post).

Thanks i'll definetely keep that in mind. When I get the veil swatches I'm going in to compare to the dress.

Maybe i'll ask then unless my sister goes back before. Or just make her call.

I wonder what she'll charge if you bought the dress before that date since we were told a different price I got my dress in June.

Then again I don't think I have anything in writing so it might not matter. I'm going to mention all this to my mom when I talk to her tonight.
