Alterations - does $450 sound like a lot?

I bought a mermaid styled dress from Lillian West. I'm a true/street size 2 or 4. I tried on a size 8 which shows a little bit of cleavage so the bridal assistants recommended I get a size 10 instead. I don't want too much cleavage. I'm a size 32 DDD. So I was informed the alterations will cost $450. This includes, the taking the whole dress in to mirror my shape and make the pin for the train for the reception. The dress has beading and is corset.

Does $450 sound reasonable???

Alterations - does $450 sound like a lot?

I paid $500 for my alterations. This is what I had done: slightly taken in on one side; the area under my butt was tightened a bit; 2 bustles; dress was shorted (lace had to be removed from the bottom and reapplied) and 5 underlayers shortened.

I'm paying a flat fee of $750 for any and all alterations so that's a good price in my opinion!
