Alterations on Long Island

I bought my dress in the city, I'm scheduled for my alteration appointments, but I am thinking about getting my dress altered closer to home.

Where are you getting your dress altered? How much did you spend and/or what is the cap?

I heard bustles could be separate from alterations themselves (personally, I don't think I need a bustle and can get away with holding the loop at the bottom of my dress.)Anyone experience this.

I am in Central Suffolk, but I am willing to go anywhere in the two counties.
