We are ordering BM dresses from her. So far, she seems great. I ordered my dress from another place but I might bring it to her for alterations. Also, she sells shoes, vaile and hair clips, all very reasonable.

Will you be able to FM me details? I bought my dress in patchogue and really don't want to have to go all the way out there from Queens 3 more times for fittings

Re: alterations with gownfind
Phyillis from gownfind.com is part of the discount bridal service. She is able to get wedding dresses, MOB dresses, bm dresses, etc for a discount. She is also a seamstress and will do all of the alterations herself. I am ordering my wedding dress from her and my alterations are capped at $150. She has gotten good reviews from many ladies on this board... do a search and you'll see!

Re: alterations with gownfind
Phyllis is my guardian angel. I have been using her for a total dress overhall and can only say wonderful things about her. I bought a store sample and the whole back of the dress needed to be replaced, a whole restore had to be done, hem, bustle, and finally take it all in. I went for my second fitting the other day where she had finished the majority of the work and the dress looks AMAZING and like new. She is very honest and very good to deal with. SHe even did work on it that we had no clue needed to be done for nothing. She really saved me from a horrible purchase.
After sucha positive experience with her for the dres I am also having her dye my shoes, put lace on the top of my veil and sew hooks in it (mantilla). I really trust her!

Re: alterations with gownfind
I am meeting with phyllis on Friday to order my dress and so far she has been so sweet and cooperative. I'm saving a couple of hundred on my dress and $150 cap on alterations was lower than most of the salons I visited.
