Alternative to baptism??

My brother had a baby and he is ot religious, are their alternatives to a baptism, that are not religious, in order to give your child the equilivant to god parents??

I am not religious either and I would not baptise my child, but I would love to giv ehem the equilivent of god parents, but with a different title.

Maybe you can do something similar to what is discussed here ?

Where on LI they do something like that, I don't know. Sorry..if I hear of anything I'll let you know. Maybe you can find a Unitarian minister and ask them - maybe they do something along the lines of what you are looking to do.
