So I'm curious, how many awful dresses have you been in? Or even the not so awful ones before you finally get to be the bride???

Funny enough, my wedding will be the first wedding that I've been in!!!! And then 2 months later, FH's brother is getting married and I'm the MOH...I guess Matron by then...that sounds so old....

I've only been in 3 weddings..my uncle's when I was 4, my dad's when I was 8 and my mom's when I was 12. No horrible dresses yet! I'm in a wedding next July though - hopefully she picks a nice dress though!

I've been to almost 10 weddings in the past 3 years and was never the BM but most of the girls had adorable dresses so i wouldn't have minded one bit :)

I was a BM in my sister's wedding in 2006, MOH in my cousin's in 2007, and this year will be a BM in my other sister's, and MOH in my best friend's. Sooo 4 by our wedding!

I have been a bridesmaid about 3 times already. one a few yrs back at my uncle first weddign at leonards of great neck, Captain bills in march for a good friend, another at flowerfields last summer another good friend, will be in one coming up next year The Inn at New Hyde Park a good friend, my cousin fox hollow 2011 summer. I think that is it so far.

I've been in 3 but have one that i am the MOH for coming up in October.
Only 1 of the dresses I wasn't a big fan of. Just wasnt my style or taste (especially the color). But the other 2 so far were great and the one in october I have no worries about b/c its pretty simple.

i've been in 2 weddings. I didnt like the first dress at all personally. It was one of those thick materials (wedding in July) and in Coral. It was too tight and i just didn't think it flattered the wedding party. Other one was jim hjelm in lavender but i also didn't think it was flattering on me - well the lady at the place totally did not tailor it correctly so the dress was all wrong. Don't get me wrong - it's a beautiful dress, just not for me. My sister is telling me to wear it to my friend's wedding next w/e since i spent so much $ on it but i just cant get myself to wear it this is one of the main reasons why I want my girls to pick out their own dresses

I've been in two weddings. At the time, I didn't mind either dress. Looking back, one of the bridesmaids dresses was pretty hideous (although I was 14 at the time and had ZERO body to pull it off). The other was very simple and still very pretty.

I was a flower girl in my mom's and aunt's wedding years and years and years ago. Then I was a bridesmaid in 2 weddings on in '05 and '08. The '05 dress was ok but oh so plain, I wanted to dress it up with gloves or a shawl something but we were told no. I loved my '08 dress it was a bill levkoff and I would've looked hot if I didn't gain 20lbs before the wedding!

i've been in 3 and the worst dress i've ever been in was a two piece. the top was white and the skirt was black and white checkers we looked like F***ing picnic talbes
