Ok...Please be honest with me here. I can handle it... lol... My FH and I go to register yesterday...we are sitting at the counter filling out paper work and talking with the lady who works there. She said she was the one who was going to take us around and giving us a lot of great advice and yada yada so on and so forth...I am now at this point getting excited to walk around with this woman because she knew so much!!! Then a minute later the woman we were dealing with had to take care of someone else. Fine no problem...she then calls over someone else who works there to help us. The girl walks over and she looks about 15. No joke! The woman we were working with asks her to enter our paper work into the computer. She was too new she didn;t have a number key to put in the computer the woman punches in her code for her. The girl seems clueless to what she she is doing. Then after shes finished she said ok guys so where do u want to start? I am going to take you around. Ughhhhhhhh I was so upset at this point. I didn;t want to get advice about home stuff from (A) someone who doesn't have a home herself and (B) looked like my 15 year old sister. Like what does she have to offer on what set of pots and pans are good ones.. LOL but hell I figured I'de be nice and give her a shot. We walked around for about 10 minutes and it just didn;t feel right. The bridezilla within came out and I said to both FH and the girl I wanted to come back and do this another day. I told them I felt overwhelmed and I wanted to go home and do some research and come back. FH was so pissed lol. Especially when I told him the real reason of not wanting to register with the girl. Am I crazy or wrong here? I much rather walk around and get advice from someone who knows what they are talking about. I guess I was being 'ageist' lol I didn;t want advice from a 15 year old Sorry so long...please respond!!! haha

Not a bridezilla at all!!!! It makes sense to go with someone with experience! Not some 15 year old who doesn't know what she is talking about!

Re: Am I a bridezilla??......
i totally understand how you felt and don't think you were acting bridezilla-ish....at least you acted polite to the girl and everything. Maybe next time bring your mom or fmil in case you get someoone else young so you have someone there to give you advice on what to get!

Not bridezilla, but you do have to remember that the girl was just doing her job. You can't necessarily fault her for that.
However, I recommend that you and FH just walk around on your own. When FH and I registered, people offered to walk with us, but I didn't want them to. I knew what I wanted and needed, I didn't really need anyone to tell me their opinions.

Can we do that? I would love to walk around with just us! Did you register at BBB?

Yup. We registered at BBB, Macys (originally did Fortunoff then changed it), and Amazon.
We didn't have any of the consultants walk with us at either store any time we went. Just tell them that you'd rather go on your own.

Re: Am I a bridezilla??......
your not a Bridesilla - a week or two before we Registered, we went to the store to look around - to see what kind of china and everyday plates we wanted to get - and then we went back to register - it gets overwhelming!

when FH & I went to register we didn't have anyone even offer to walk around with us. the first day we went we looked at china for 3 & a half hours & left without registering for any. it was so overwhelming.
next time you go you should just say you prefer to go along & if you have questions you will ask. lets be realistic you have to look at this stuff for the next 50 years.

I registered at BBB and did the same thing. We told the woman who offered to walk around with us that we preferred to do it by ourselves.

Re: Am I a bridezilla??......
I think going home was the nice thing to do.. I probably would have been a bit*h and told the little girl to take a hike, then yelled at the other lady for leaving me in the first place! You handled it very good!

Re: Am I a bridezilla??......
You probably had the better situation because when we went the older woman had us putting any and everything on our list - she was rather pushy - I wound up deleting half the stuff when I got home. I don't think this is anything to get upset over...

Re: Am I a bridezilla??......
I dont think its ageist. I think she did not have the capacity to help you.
If she said 'I know im new but have been doing this for 3 years. I think we shouldstart here...' We would be having a different conversation.

Re: Am I a bridezilla??......
Kinda...It wouldn't really bother me because I know what I want and I'd honestly rather not have someone in my ear the whole time, but if I wanted someone knowledgeable to help me then yes, I'd be annoyed

I do not think you are a birdezilla at all!
First of all, I do not think FH should be mad at you for that.
Secondly, the girl was just doing her job but I COMPLETELY understand wanting to walk around with someone more experienced because you want the best possible experience!
The 1st time I went to David's Bridal, I had a woman who everyone kept bugging and pulling away to help with everything and as much as I minded because it was excessive, I knew it was someone who must know a lot. Then when she stuck me with someone else who didn't know anything I got annoyed when I later found out that that person gave me SO much false information that I ended up getting a different dress that I would have!
