I feel like I can now understand why people become bridezillas......I have been searching for weeks for someone to book to do my BMs hair. It has taken me a lot of work and research and I finally booked Khouloud's....which I feel very confident about. I e-mailed all of my BMs and most of them replied and said they would get their hair done (only one person never replied). So, my best friend e-mails me to say that now no one is going to get their hair done by the person I booked! They all want to just wear their hair down and do it themselves.....are you kidding me!? I was in two of their weddings and paid to get my hair done (and it looked like crap both times) for their weddings, now they are just going to leave their hair down for mine! I feel like I can't make them do it since I am asking them to pay, but don't you think that is a little inconsiderate?....esp. since they all have the money to do it (it is only $75!).....

I would normally say that if you want them to do their hair a certain way by a person you choose, then it would be nice for you to offer to pay. However, if you were in their weddings and they required specific hair and you paid for it, then they should be fine with this situation for them.
Also, if you want their hair a certain way, then it doesn't matter whether they do it with Khouloud's (sp?) or not - they should still do their hair how you ask. If they want to do it on their own with thei own hair person, that's fine, but I think it's only nice for them to honor your request since you've done the same for them.

Hmm...that is weird...don't they know it's kind of 'expected' you will do a little more with your look when you are in a BP? The one wedding where I did do my own hair, i still had it all up and it looked very elegant...hmmm..perhaps discuss with them that you were going for a certain 'look' for your wedding day and hoped they'd all enjoy getting made up??? good luck...

Well, I would say. 'You can do your hair wherever you want but it has to look like this' (and show them a picture) Tewll them they CAN NOT wear their hair down that's not what you want for your wedding day. Hey they signed up to be a bridesmaid, they need to do what YOU tell them!!! XOXOXO Kitty

yeah, the only reason I found someone to do their hair is because all but two are from other states and I thought I was being helpful trying to find someone on LI for them.

Re: Am I becoming a bridezilla???? (long)
i think i havent been a bridezilla during this process, but i did tell my girls my only act of bridezillaism will be that i want them to all get their hair done. im not even making makeup mandatory as long as they have someone to do it for them or if they can do it themselves.
i understand what ur saying and i agree. especially since im using khouloud's beauty too (but for makeup) and you probably got that price because you told them a certain amount of girls. i would just say, i dont ask alot from u girls and all im asking is that u get your hair done. like the previous poster said, they signed up to be a bridesmaid and it is expected that they do whatever makes u happy.
good luck!

I totally hear ya! I AM a bridezilla, and my advice to you is that when it comes to your BP, don't worry about them quite as much. WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF. Only worry about YOUR hair, and makeup. Because the reality is that on your wedding day, its all about you and the groom. All the attention will be on you and the groom....its all about you guys. I know its hard to see it when you're in all of these details,,,,,,but its true. All eyes will be on you and your FH, not your bp.
