Hi girls, I've been checking out the board, I've noticed people have already had their hair and make up trials done, I haven't yet. (am I the only one?) I mean I have all of the following done: Church Officiant Reception Florist Photographer & Videographer DJ Ordered my dress In the process of: booking limos booking HM What do you girls think? Should I have more done by now??

Every time I read how much some brides have done already I start thinking how far behind I am. Then I realize that there only so many hours in a day, some of which have to be spent working at the job that pays the bills instead of wedding planning!

I also think that this site sometimes makes me a little neurotic about booking things...Don;t Stress!

i don't think you are behind @ all. i feel like a slacker @ times myself - but you will get it all done before your wedding. i wouldn't worry.

I haven't had a hair tiral, in fact I don't have a head piece, and we didn't book our HM yet, so I thik that you are ok...follow those monthy planners, you will see that you are not behind at all, in fact you are probably ahead! We are just a bunch of overachievers! haha

Sometimes these boards make it out to feel like a competition. Do not worry its not! Go at your own pace and enjoy it! Otherwise you will not have fun doing it. I am quite anal, and for me that means getting everything done as soon as possible. You may be different. Have fun and dont stress!

I hope you are on schedule cause I am at the exact same point (minus the officiant that I am working on!)
Remember alot of LIwedding girls are super planners - so they were done months ago

I don't think thats so nice..... The reason I have pretty much everything done is because my date is very popular. Because my wedding is early on a Sunday, I have to do hair and makeup at my house (no salon will open at 6am). Out of curiousity, I started calling hair/makeup people in June to find out if they were available. To my dismay, the first two people I called were already booked!! A year in advance!! The third person had the date available, so I booked a trial because I didn't want to book anyone for the wedding without having a trial done first. So that is why mine was so early. As for all the other stuff, besides the popualr date thing, its kind of nice to have stuff out of the way, and now I don't have to think about it anymore. It has nothing to do with me not realizing its just one day. I am totally aware of that.

I think alot of people on the site are teachers too - so they all tried to book everything during the summer before they went back to work.

Don't worry you are ahead of me and I plan on getting married in June or May!! And I have not booked a hall.
