Ummmm , question......have you spoken with the BRIDE about this? It sounds like you spoke with the MOH. Maybe if you explain your situation to the bride herself, she would understand better. You never know, the MOH may just be saying 'well Christine doesn't want those shoes......' It's entirely possible that with everything going on, the bride forgot that you mentioned this issue with her beforehand.

yea the bride knows, i told her a dozen times 'if you are going to make us wear the same shoes, you know my condition please take that into consideration, blah blah blah

thanks, girls, i wanted to make sure i was being reasonable, everyone knows about my condition and i cannot believe they just went and got the shoes without even asking me first!

it is very inconsiderate. What i would do is just buy the shoes and bring them to a shoemaker and cut the heel down, this way you get what you want and you dont have to deal arguing with her. She wont even notice on her day that you did this and shouldn't matter anyways.

cutting the heel down is a good idea, i didn't think of that!

You are being totally reasonable! I dont see why you cant wear a different shoe? Is it that big of a deal for everyone to be in the same shoe...that she would risk you losing circulation in your foot at the wedding!

Here s another suggestion...could you wear the shoe for pics? just a short amount of time? If you can, I would tell her to buy you the shoe and then you'll buy a shoe for the rest of the night...one that wont hurt you!!

yeah any shoe maker will be able to do this and honestly shouldn't cost much either. This way everybody gets their way and are happy, you don't even have to say anything about to anybody, nobody is going to look at the height of your heel the day of. Just save yourself the aggravation and do this on your own without talking to anybody who is giving you a hard time about this. Its horrible people arent considerate of your situation and just thinking about the freaking shoes, there are more important things in life.

Absolutely NOT!! dont even feel bad you cant control your condition.

I would just wear the color she picked out and pick out your own shoes, you shouldnt have to physically suffer for the bride!!

i know i think thats why i am so upset that no one even thought of my situation. everyone knows b/c i'm always going to the doctor and complaining about it. its a serious issue. the worst part is no one really cares....o well i think i'm gonna take your advice and see about cutting the heel. thanks!

absolutely not! you shouldnt have to been uncomfortable especially since its because of a medical conditionj but even so, i have really bad feet when it comes to shoes and ive literally cried because of shoes at weddings so i completely understand!

Why can't they all have that shoe and you have the shoe that fits for you? Seriously? No way are you being difficult! S.hit my girls dresses are knee length and I'm not even telling them what shoes to get!! I just told them gold or black! Sorry you are being made to feel bad it's ridiculous.

No offense to any brides on this site that are doing this (and I literally mean that with all respect), but why do you all have to wear the same shoes? Personally, I think it looks weird. If they are all the same color, it shouldn't matter. Have you tried asking the bride if you guys can pick your own shoes for the sake of comfort?

I don't think you're being difficult at all. Don't sweat it - they're being a bunch of Zillas! They will get over it eventually!
