I wasen't going to get FH a watch for the wedding but, now I feel bad because he doesnt have a dressy one to wear. I always heard it is bad luck to give someone a watch as a gift because it means your 'time will run out' with them....

I thought the same too, but ended up getting him a watch, I told him to give me a penny for it so its like I'm selling it to him. I think every superstition has a loop hole.

lots of people buy watches - my FH is a watch freak so i had to get him a watch - besides he doesnt wear any other type of jewelry so watches are really the only thing that i can get him....i got him one for the wedding!

I never heard of that one...I bought DH a watch for the engagement present. He loves watches so he really wanted it. I say go for the watch.

i had never heard this about the watch as a gift.
u can think of his and your $ as joint money....so he's getting it himself...he just doesnt know it and ure just picking it out
