Am I crazy buying a Louis Vuitton bag at this time?
Girls-
I have not made the purchase yet, but I REALLY want the speedy 25 bag which is.............................................................................$460!!! Agh.......................................................................I feel terribly guilty at this time because of all the money we are spending. Should I do it or could I live without it?

Only you can judge how you should spend your money, so I can't really even give you my opinion, but did you talk to FH about how he feels about spending 500 bucks on a bag right now?

If you can afford it then go for it. I know I can not even get a $40.00 shirt right now. I am jobless. But enjoying it for the time being. But if you can get, get it!!!!

Go sunday or monday to macy's and use the 20% friends and family dicount - that's $90 in savings (plus whatever tax youre saving) - so that way you get what you want and feel a little less guilty.

girl, i have to say, I am excited about my wedding, but it is one day. You cant put your life on hold. My fiance keeps reminding me of this, and he refuses to not get his 'egg sandwiches and coffee' every day to pay for the wedding. get it if you want it, and if you can afford it, get it. everyone is in a different boat, $$ wise. and...for the person who posted to use the family and friends discount...how do you get that?

And if you open a Macy's charge at the same time, you save another 10%. Buy it now bec. later he, and you, may decide other things are more important. My daughter just bought a Dooney and Burke backpack and matching wallet. Not in the same price bracket, but definitely the same idea.

I always say if you loose sleep over it then get it! You can always rationalize with yourself: What if you go back and there are no more and you have to go on a waiting list?? Your right- think of all the $$$ your spending. What's another $460 dollars??

Yes, the Macy's coupon is good for LV stuff this Sunday and Monday - 20% off - and like LIMom said, if you open a credit card, you get an extra 10% (I think it may be 15% now). That's A LOT of savings!!! Someone had posted the link to the coupon page last week - Georgia (attica) or Shamma probably.
FYI - If you already have a Macy's card, u can still get the discount by opening a joint account with someone (to do this, neither of you can have joint accounts with other people, but you can each have your own individual account). I am holding off on opening the joint account until it's time to complete my registry.
