am i doing the right thing?

a while back, i mentoned that when i tried on my dress, i had back fat and wasn't happy (it is a corset back)....

this is what I am doing to try to loose weight....

ww ( have been doing this on and off for years, now trying to be more 'on' than before.

exercise -- recently started getting up at 4:30 to do the treadmill for 30 -40 minutes ( i run for 1 minute sprints, here and there, maybe about 6 minutes out of the 40)

then at night I am doing the 30 day shred.

this new routine has only been this past week, before that I was just doing the treadmill for about an hour.

I am also a member of curves.

which way will I get the best quickest results?

thanks for you help!!!

for your back and if you want arms too, i would throw in strength training too. With cardio you only burn fat while youre working out, with strength training you continue to burn fat even after you stop working out bc muscle burns fat and as you develop muscle it will burn more fat. Its best to do a combo of strength training and cardio. Do workouts that specifically target your back and arms. You can do cardio one day and the next do strength and continue this way. They say to target different areas different days to give your muscles a rest.

i agree, that doing some toning/weight training is good for a metabolism boost. definitely. i recently started spinning a few times a week to. it's cardio+strength and i'm LOVING the results. but other than that, just keep at it, drink lots of water, eat healthy and take your vits! you'll be fine!!

Definitely add strength training...I also have to say diet is 90% of it! Working out is only a small piece of the equation. For me, weight watchers helped me lose pounds but not achieve any sort of definition at all...
