I just got engaged this past weekend. Am I crazy for starting to want to plan already?? Don't have an official date yet but Trying for next Sept. I know i should book a place now, but how about a photographer/ video/ flowers... all that stuff. also... i really really want photojournalistic photography, someone who is NOT going to be in my face at all times. Who is a great photojournalistic photographer out there?? im lila btw nice to meet everyone :)

Congrats!
As everyone else said it is not to early to start planning. I wanted an Oct wedding and it was all booked. No I'm a sept bride. Start looking for the RH as soon as possible. Then everything else will fall into place.

Welcome!!! And hooray for a date twin!!
You should definitely enjoy your engagement but with that being said, you should definitely start looking if you do indeed want that date. I called 2 or 3 photographers and they were already booked for that date. Its a holiday weekend so again if you do want it, you should def get on it.

congrats... but book your hall first before going crazy looking for everything else because you will need your date to book everything else. and this is a great site for all your questions

Congrats and welcome! Just get the hall and church(if your using one) booked and little by little tackle the other things on the list. Don't try to do too much at once bc it can become overwhelming. Have fun!

Congratulations on your engagement!!!
I don't think that you are rushing at all. My wedding is the middle of October. All I have is the RH, church and photographer right now. I have been aiming to book one big vendor a month. So next on the list is the music.
Just a suggestion. If you guys are not hard set on a date, then just visit the catering hall that you are very interested in and see what their availability is. I thought this alleviated a lot of stress especially if you fall in love with one hall, it elimates the chances of them not being available; whereas if you set the date. My fiance and I just decided we wanted the wedding in October and on a Friday night.
Have fun with all the planning! Let me say that they boards have been absolutely wonderful with all the help and support you get from everyone.
