Am I one of the 'oldest' members on this site?!

I just noticed that next month will be my 2 year anniversary posting on this site! Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Maybe I should say goodbye to wedding planning and move on with my life?! LOL

I wonder how we can find out who's been here the longest.....I joined 3/01 - where are all of my other 2001 friends?!

Kathi and I joined this site in November and December of 2000!!!

Here's how long I've been here - as long as Anna - I got engaged in March 2000 and found this site shortly thereafter. It was just Brides at the time...and so many things have changed. When they revamped the site awhile back, I guess Feb of 2001 - that's when it started showing how long you have been a member of this board. The oldest one you will see is 2/01...but like I said, I've been around longer. It keeps evolving which is great otherwise I don't see myself, married almost 2 years with a 4 month old baby, having a reason to come on. I never go to BHB anymore since my info from 2 years ago is practically ancient info in the fast paced world of NY Weddings. Newlyweds board even...it's still alot of wedding talk, which is definitely fine but I am out of that mode, I leave it to those who have had more recent weddings. Sooooo I found myself just this past week looking at NWR and was definitely cracking up at some of the topics - funny stuff!! Got me smiling. Parenting is my place these days. LIW has done a great job.

I know Im not the oldest (and thus, neither are you Teri) because there are a few girls that were here a long time by the time I got here.

And I agree - I enjoy LIW more now than I did when I was engaged....its fun to help the brides to be, do our bookclub and of course chat with the Newlyweds about everything from politics to home renovation to crafts.

I joined 12/01. A month after I got engaged...don't know why I can't seem to tear myself away LOL

I got engaged in 5/2001 and joined here in 8/01. I found the site a month or so before and didn't post until then! I was married in June, 2002. So, I'm not the oldest, but one of the older ones!!!

I am so glad that the site has changed so we can still come on and chat away with the people that have been there for us while we were planning our wedding plus make new friends. I know some of my fellow brides that I planned with are not on here anymore, but I just can't seem to walk away from this board.

LIWeddings ... you are the first thing I check, besides email, when I log on!

It looks like I may be the oldest (in more ways than one). I started posting here right after I was engaged in January of 2000. At that time there was only a brides board, although vendors posted there as well. That led to some MAJOR drama and eventually is why LIW started the Vendor board. The rest as they say, is history.

As you can see I don't post very often. I had actually stopped even coming to this site, but started again in January when I got sick and couldn't go out of the house. I must say I have enjoyed living vicariously through the rest of you. Some of the threads (Gifts that no one wants) have given me great laughs. They are much appreciated and necessary while I recuperate. Keep up the great work ladies and I will back to normal in no time
