at the wedding? Just curious who else is doing this. I hope i'm not the only one I know a lot are doing adult reception only but that just wasn't an option for my and FH's family....i'm starting to get worried there's going to be crazy kids...
we have one 1.3 yr old girl (FH's niece)...my flower girl 5, her brother 3, FH's cousin 7, nephew 4(ring bearer) and then 2 other kids under 10...the rest of the kids are over 10 yrs
FH says that if anyone is running around I should just pick them up and go on with the ceremony (is he crazy!!!) he says, kids will be kids and we can't exclude our families. i LOVE him for thinking like this but still, its our wedding ..hmmmmm

Ohhh..... I dunno if u are the only one... i just dont think I can handle it if any kid is crying during the ceremony... or during our first dance...

We are only having our 2 daughters (will be 4 and 1) and our siblings which is 8 kids between 7 and 16 but we are not extending the guests the option of bringing kids. i jsut can't afford it

gotta do whats best for you and FH- dont worry about the masses.... we are doing no kids for financial but i totally agree with your FH though. I would love to have kids but our pockets are singing a different tune

I would have loved an all adult reception but I have 3 kids of my own. Certain family members have small kids and don't have any one to take care of them so if I want them at my wedding than I'm going to have to include the kids.

we are having kids too - similar situation all the kids are family members and older than 8 with the exception of 3 younger kids (3, 5 and 6). FH wants kids there and thinks it is cute when they run out on the dance floor. i'm not really worried about the ceremony bc my family is pretty good with taking kids outside if they make noise. but it took us a long time to decide

i considered the babysitter idea...but FH's family LOVES to have their kids with them at all times lol...
I have all these kiddy goodie bags with like color your own ornaments etc...hopefully this will keep them occupied for a little.

there are going to be couple of kids there:
FG and RB and some kids of OOT family members on FH's side.
But we are not inviting anyone else with kids - mostly because they are like 2nd cousins' kids and honestly, there needs to be a cut off!

I hope their families will take them outside if they are crying...the only one i'm really worried about is the 15 month old...although shes a great little girl...both her parents are in the BP...i hope one of the aunts takes her outside if she starts getting antsy....
I really love having kids a part of the wedding b/c this IS our Family and I dont mind a little craziness...i mean kids will be dancing around...i just hope nothing catastrophic happens.

most of our kids there are also OOT kids...so i can't exclude them b/c they are coming with FH's family ...but i didnt invite all guests with kids by any means.

We're having kids too. I have 11 nieces and nephews. Plus I'm also inviting my cousins kids, but they're mostly teenagers and I feel I would have more fun with them there.

Thats a great idea!! I am also having a babysitter there. as much as I love my girls, its still our day and I can't be spending it running after them. The babysitter will take them home when they have had enough.

yes, same...the kids will be asleep by 9ish anyway, so she was just going to sit in the bridal suite with them

I was at a wedding ceremony where one kid had a complete meltdown....and the parents never took the kid out of the church....so throughout the entire ceremony there was wailing and shrieking while the parents just sat and watched.....it was SO RUDE
I am not having kids, except for my neice who is my FG.....and I think she's gonna have a meltdown of her own....since both her parents are in the BP I hope it doesn't go the entire length of my ceremony!
(I love my neice though, so she will be forgiven instantly)

I am making up coloring books and activities for them to do if they get bored but for the most part I think they'll be dancing and stuff.

I have a huge Italian family with lots of cousins. We always have all the little ones there so we are used to it. There will be at least 15 kids at my wedding under 13 years old and another big group of teenagers! I actually love watching them run around and we always have the DJ play games with them while the adults are eating. I never really thought about doing it differently. It's all in what you are used to and what works for you.
