am i overreacting?

today is my birthday. my fh and i decided no more presents until after the wedding, although we still get cards. he just called me to ask me how old i am and i was like u dont know and then when i told him, he said good thing. i dont know what that means, but after 7 years he should know how old i am. im not going to fight with him, but it really bothered me, am i crazy?

Yes he should know how old you are!
What did he mean by good thing??
Guys are so clueless sometimes.
On the other hand, maybe he's planning some kind of surprise!

thanks girls i thought that i was crazy, but i guess not. i highly doubt that he is getting me a surprise considering money is very tight right now.

I have to say, FH is a year and a half older than me, so sometimes I do forget how old he is, because it's not just a solid one or two years older than me. Plus, sometimes I forget my own age! I really wouldn't worry about it.

I agree 100% - I love FH but I can SOOO imagine him asking me the same thing. I would probably let him slide, but maybe poke fun at him a few times for forgetting how old you are after so many years.

Same here - if it weren't for the fact that my last birthday was the big 3-0...I doubt my FI would know how old I am.

Just last month he had to ask me my middle name for a credit application (mind you, I always use my middle initial for business...so it's on everything!). Dork!

I'd be very annoyed if he asked me that ON my b-day he could have at least asked you leading UP to your b-day or something...but aren't you super curious why his reaction was, 'good!'???!!! I wonder what that means?!

Yeah, I would be ticked off at that. Especially after 7years.

That said, my dad still isn't 100% sure how old I am on my birthdays. Like Lauren said, men are clueless.

he probably went to buy me something 25 and realized good thing he called because i am only 24. he is definitely going to have to deal with me at least poking fun at him for a little while. now i just cant wait for him to get here!

A few years ago my FI threw me a surprise B-day party with a banner that said happy 25th Birthday Stephanie, I was like um just to let you know I'm 26!!! He felt like such a dummy!
edit to say HAPPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

No joke..I forget how old my FI is all of the time..the real sad fact is that he is the same age as my brother!!

(I have 5 brothers (and 4 sisters) so....it's gets pretty hard)

no need to argue about it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
