Am I overreacting??? Loooong story

I have been sick all day, felt like absolute garbage (morning sickness which has been all day sickness )
My son and neice go to Nin-Jutsu on Tues and THurs. Tues my sister takes them, Thurs. I take them.
I called her today and said I really dont feel well, I knew she also had a Dr's appt at the time that I take the kids today and I didnt want her to have to miss it, so I told her bring the kids over anyway and worse comes to worse I'll just have them hang out at my house so she can keep her appt. and I'll try to rest as much as possible.
Then I got to feeling guilty becasue we pay in advance for Nin-Jutsu and I didn't want her to be laying out $$ and then the kids not go becasue of me. So, I dropped them off ther and then came home to rest while they were in class (It's 2 minutes from my house and the parents dont stay).
I got the kids dinner afterwards and went back to her house to wait for her to get home (should have been by 6 the latest). She gets home at 7, because she stopeed at the diner to have tea with my mother.

I'm pi$$ed. I feel taken advantage of and if she was sick, I would NEVER, EVER leave her hanging like that. I would have gotten home the soonest that I possibly could.
Am I overreacting???
(PS...this kind of thing is like an ongoing thing with her. ..)

I would have been very mad too, and told her that she was inconsiderate and that the only reason you took them was so she wouldnt lose money...did she fully understand how sick you felt??

I really really think thats inconsiderate!

I said something to my mother about it and she made it like it wasn't a big deal, which made me even more mad.
What bothers me is that I bend over backwards to do the right thing by my family and we ARE very close, I just feel like lately 'the nice guy finishes last'. I'm very bothered.

I hate to say it but I feel this way about some member of my family lately to.

I hope you feel better though

Initially I thought you were over reacting. I thought that you definitely had the right to be annoyed, but I didn't think that you should be as annoyed as you were.

But since it is not an isolated incident, I understand. If this is 'common practice' with her, I would say something. I know I hate it when I feel like my family is taking advantage of my kindness.

Stacy, I'm so sorry. I know it really sucks to be taken advantage of. I know how close you and your sister are, I'm sure it's unintentional. I think we get caught up in our own lives sometimes and overlook the fact that those around us are having a hard time, too. You just happen to be a nice person, but I also think in the future, if you really are not feeling well, take matters into your own hands, and do what is best for you. Sometimes it's every woman for herself, and it seems this was a case of that. Doesn't it suck being close with siblings sometimes?
