I signed up with a fairly big photographers studio in Queens NY for my wedding to be held in October 2009. Earlier this year, due to cutback in our salary my fiance and I decided to postpone the wedding to May 2010. We called the photographer/videographer studio and made the necessary arragements. I spoke with someone who said that they would add on the extra cost to my balance, which I agreed to over the phone. They NEVER however sent me a new contract holding me to the new wedding date, however they have sent me (on numerous occasions) an updated statement with my new wedding date and balance left. Now only a month ago, my fiance got laid off form his job so we decided to cancel the wedding photographer altogether and now they are telling me that i was Never charged the re-scheduling fee and their cancellation is 20% of the total contract price and instead I was charged for something else that I was originally asked for in the original contract!
Am I bound to these contract terms since my contract is written for October 2009 when in reality my wedding was supposed to be May 2010? Pretty much I have a contract with one date, but their records show another date and I havent signed anything else since the first contract.
Am I entitled to my whole refund or am I stuck with the 20%? Please help! The clock is ticking.

Re: Am I still bound by the Contract??
I'm pretty sure you are still bound to the terms of the original contract. And if that means you don't get the full deposit back from cancelling, that's probably how it's going to be. Sorry.
