whose fiance does NOT want to help with planning?? My FH only wanted to see the hall b4 we paid the deposit, saw the band I chose, and wnats to choose menu. Anything else he said just tell me how much. I guess men are not interested in flowers and linens and such am I the only one dealing with this???

I just had this talk with my FH today..all he wants to worry about is the Limo & cake..he wouldn't look at invites with me...grrr

Men!! mine is the same he tries to act interested but hes not the only 2 cents he put in was for the cake and he wants the BM dresses to be lilac is he marrying the right sex

Ditto. Mine has been involved since we started. His favorite parts so far was the food tasting and the hall selection.....go figure ;)
Now, I know he's not CRAZY about invitations, but he doens't mind looking through the websites with me ........ and same with the favors and what not. I guess I'm lucky that way!

I don't know if it's good or bad that he doesn't want to be involced in all this. His mother and sister always have nothing but negative things to say! I have asked thm on numerous occassions woulc u like to come to the florist with my mother and I the answer I get is no than they run back and tell myFH I am going overboard and bla bla!!!! All I have to say is if you don't want to be involved no one is permitted to have an opinion!!

Mine is sometimes interested but not always. I mean he was there to look at the hall, photographer, and videgrapher..but everything else Ive done myself (with the help from my MOH)...its not that my FH doesnt care...because if I would ask him to help he would, but I feel like he just isnt as into it as I am. So you are not alone

We made a list of to do's for the wedding and we picked what we wanted. I am in charge of invites and flowers etc and he is in charge of limos and the honeymoon.
It gave him responibility for certain things. He wants to be involved but made up his mind about what things to be involved in. I am ok with him taking care of limos and other things rather then having him give me a hard time about invites when he isnt too interested.
maybe you can do something like that?

I hear ya... FH thinks because all the major vendors are booked... there is 'nothing' else to do... I asked him about invitations and he looks at me and says you know I don't care about this stuff... if it were up to me I would send out an e-mail to everyone as there invite!

of course you're not the only one! My FH cares about one thing and one thing only....the cake. He couldn't care less about the flowers, the place settings, the out of town guests, the details. About 3 weeks ago we had an argument that was vicious.....I EXPLODED b/c I just didn't understand why he was so disinterested. THe fact is that....THEY'RE MEN. the don't really care about these things.... all they care about is food, probably the music, and making us happy! Flowers and china and and flatware are just not what men are for. They're good for other stuff.

I think 95% of FH's don't really care about all the details the way we do.....but I also think that's b/c we would be more upset than our FH's if something goes wrong on the day of...... I just think they don't see the point in stressing about all of it.
My FH only went to 4 halls with me (out of like 10 that I went to see), and he went to 2 photographers (out of 10 or 12), he didn't see flowers at all, I totally see him coming with me as being pointless.....but I insist that he comes w/ me for DJ appts. and that's about it!! Everything else I kind of know I'll be doing on my own.

FH is funny! He does not go out of his way to be involved in the planning, but he is so easy if i ask for him to come to an appointment or if I ask his oppinion. The only thing he insisted on was seeing the RH, the DJ, and the photo and video, and the limo, all the other stuff he give his honest opinion when asked

It makes no sense to me I am like this is most important day of ur life whichis also costing a pretty penny ! He doesnt even wanna hear details, he says whatever u like i am just like cmon just give me the ok or say how about u look a lil more. Yikes!!!
