that does not want to wear a veil? I really don't want to be traditional and a veil just seems sooo traditional. Maybe my opinion will change when I go looking for my dress but I was curious if I am the only one with this thought. What are my other options?

not at all... I too did not want to wear a veil.. BUT my mom kicked and screamed so I said what the hell and I am getting a fingertip length veil. Do you like the birdcage veil? A little different but very elegant..hmmm what about just a nice hair accessory ??? That was my original idea. Best of luck with your options.

Re: Am I the only bride
I fought tooth and nail against a veil, but then like a month ago, I decided that I really wanted one and ended up with a cathedral length!
One of the biggest things that I have learned during the planning process: Don't be traditional just for the sake of being traditional, but don't be against traditional just for the sake of against tradition.
Not saying that's what you're doing, just saying that's what I have learned about myself

I didn't want to wear a veil either at first but then once I had my dress on and the lady put a veil on my head it just completed the look.
I don't plan on wearing it the whole night though - ceremony, few pictures and then i will just have a flower in my hair

Re: Am I the only bride
I totally can not see myself in a traditional veil. I love the look of birdcage veils though so I am going to give that a try even though I have no idea how that will look on me. If it turns out they don't look good then I probably won't have a veil.

I am wearing a lovely rhinestone comb in my hair that will match my dress. No veil for me.

I don't want to wear a veil...
FH said he could care less.. just nothing over my face..
My Father wants the 'lifting the blusher' experience (last daughter getting married & hasn't had it yet)
and now FH says (as he watches wedding shows with me) that he likes the longer veils....
Looks like I'm wearing one..

Re: Am I the only bride
it depends on my dress. I'm far from traditional so if I wear a veil, it'd be for fashion. I tried some on and it looked good with simpler dresses but was too much with some busier dresses for my taste.
Still haven't picked a dress

Re: Am I the only bride
I had no desire to wear a veil then when I was dress shopping they snuck one on my head. I loved it.
ETA: Then I said, oh I'll just wear it for the ceremony and take it off right after. I wore it almost the whole night- until right before the cake cutting. I loved that stupid piece of tulle. It made me feel bridely.

I didnt want to wear a veil .. But when i found one that matched my dress perfectly i changed my mind. I am only wearing it for the ceremony and then i bought as cute non traditional birdcage veil/ HP to wear for most of my pics.

Ok, I thought I was just crazy for not wanting one. I probably will change my mind too like many of you ladies when I start trying on dresses. If I do decide to wear one I'm taking the sucker off as soon as the ceremony is over too!

I'm not wearing a veil. If I was getting married in church I might've, but I'm getting married at my hall so I nixed it.

I didn't think I'd want a veil either, but after trying one on with my dress, I really liked how it looked.

Nope! I'm not planning on wearing a veil either! I plan on doing a flower or jeweled pin.
