So far, I am the only DORK!
My FH thinks it will end up being a waste of space, but I think it would be cool to have since we're always grilling tenderloins. I could slice the leftovers and make him sandwiches!!!!

You are too funny, I never heard of one of those but it sounds like a good idea. Of course someone got us a food processor, which looks very impressive, but I have no idea what I am supposed to use it for so I guess I am the wrong person to respond

My old roommate regiestered for one and got it - like 3 years ago. I saw it in her closet months ago and it never looked used! I can ask her what she thinks of it and if she has used it.
I have a feeling it was one of those things her DH added. He was adding everything and everything in site - they had the longest registry I ever seen.

my grandmother always used hers-she would slice roast beef on it for sunday dinners. I would slice my fingers off though

You JUST reminded me. I had one for over 20 years and we used it maybe half a dozen times. It was a pain in the neck to disassemble to clean properly. We moved 7 years ago and I haven't seen it since. I haven't even given it a thought, and I have no idea what happened to it. Now it's going to bother me.

I think it's pretty cool (unfortunately I don't eat enough meat/cheese to use it) reminds me of the seinfeld episode when elane uses Krammer's slicer on her shoe.
now you can shop at BJs and get their bunk coldcutt meats
