Am I the only non-LI bride?

So when I got engaged, friends told me to sign up w/theknot, brides.com, and liweddings. I thought it would be silly since I'm a jersey bride. But really we are all planning a big event in the northeast...there will be diff things (like vendors), but lots of similairites!
I setup an acct and started lurking around the threads....and now I'm addicted!

I was referred to Duet by 2 coworkers, but I had no intention on meeting w/them..until I saw many girls from the board going to meet them. so thx you girls!

Through the board, I have also been referred to great websites on DIY and jewelry, etc..

Anyway I wanted to know if there were other non-LI brides here?

or am I the only one?

I am a Bronx bride getting married in New Rochelle, and I love this site...it's great to know there is a place to come to and vent...all the future and past brides are extremely helpful.

i am a brooklyn bride.

i found this site years before ever getting engaged & i was a total lurker. i just loved reading all the plans & all the reviews. so when i got engaged i registered. i am only using 1 LI vendor & i found them at a friends wedding. i have been on theknot before & some of the girls are really mean.

Live in Westchester.....ceremony in Westchester, reception in LI......FH is from LI.

Brooklyn bride here... but getting married in LI.
These boards are the same for people who log in under nycwedding.com as well.

Always great advice from everyone on here....you can see it from all sides...b/c you need that. Welcome!
