Who CAN'T STAND the LI Weddings lingo? I'm sorry but I REFUSE to call my bridesmaids BMs or Save the dates STDs!!! I will not refer to my fiance as a DH or an FH or abbreviate 'bouquet' as boK!!!!!! I just think it's so ridiculously corny. Is there anyone with me out there?
I think it is just easier to and faster to type it that way. You don't HAVE to use the lingo it is just more convenient

I felt the same way when I first joined and began posting, but it's just SOOO much easier to use some of those terms when you're writing and reading posts.

It doesn't bother me. it's just a way to abbreviate. don't use it then, if you don't want to.

yes it is def like a secret language......i think its much quicker to type FMIL, BM, RH, STD, etc. than if I had to type out all of those words! im lazy!

yeah and i have a hard enough time typing the word 'have' correctly since i awlays end up typing 'hvae' or 'haev', typing out BRIDESMAID everytime - oh boy what a mess i could make of that.
I didn't get the lingo either, but now I find myself hesitating when I am talking to other people, because I want to refer to my fiance as FH....strange!

not trying to put anyone down... It took me forever to figure out what the hell an FH is or a DH... and when I hear BM I think of 'bowel movement' and when I hear 'STD' I think of 'sexually transmitted disease' hahaha
Anyway I know I can't be the only one out there who feels this way....

Most of the lingo doesn't bother me... except for 'DH'... I CAN'T STAND that one!!!!!! 'FH' makes sense since it's 'future husband' but I still don't know what the 'D' stands for in 'DH'. It seems stupid and I'd rather just type 'husband'![]()
