am i the only one?

sorry to hear so many people including myself are going through this. i really can't wait to be married.. buts it all the BS petty things that get me down. who is sitting with who.. who are you inviting to the shower..blah blah blah. i feel like i'm putting my life on hold until i get married (possibility of changing jobs, buying a house, etc)


i'm especially down because since my parents are up there in age. alot of things that they won't be able to take do. My father can't really walk, so he can't walk me down the aisle or have the father/daughter dance my mother has her hands full taking care of him so she can't really help me plan my wedding. honestly i am just so happy that they will be there to see me get married.

also, i am in the finance industry. Lately things are looking really glum. i hold breath everyday hoping i don't get laid off... i was going to use my bonus to pay off the wedding.. Ha! i''m lucky if i get a quarter.

this is board really helps by letting us know we are not alone !

i just saw this now, i missed it when you posted it...i wish i can say it was one of those days but ive been having 'THOSE' days ALOT for the past 6 months. Plus theres actual reasons i feel like this. Yeah ill try to think of something soon to go do, i have done it and things will be great but then it comes back to this...even if i dont go away ill have weekends for example that i have the best time and then its only temporary bc problems just start again, its been a never ending cycle. SO much so that i even sit here and think W** did someone put a curse on me or something, at this point anything is possible hahaha

Im sorry, I would never have thought that you have been through this and had 'one of those days' for a really long time. Maybe someone did put 'the evil eye' on you. Have you heard of this before, where people wear a blue eye to protect them, I wear mine ALL THE TIME, I beleive in this.

Yes I am so stressed financially. I still have to save a lot of money to pay for the wedding and I lost my job. My school loans go into repayment next month and the monthly payments are ridiculous. I need a job

My mom and FMIL knows how to remove it. My mom does something with a scarf and crystal, its a little odd, but she can tell if I have been 'evil eyed'. THere is also this oil and water thing they do, if it separtes then you are 'evil eyed', its sooo funny to explain but I think its true

i have seen a ceremony with oil, water, a cotton ball and a match - i cant remember exactly what was done though . . . i wouldnt let the person do it to me bc he didnt learn it from another person ( of the opposite sex ) he just taught it to himself from various sources. . . so i didnt trust him - dont know if it can actually work in reverse you know?

i have done a few novenas trying to remove it. . . but so far no luck, i have no idea who would put it on me though. . . didnt think i had any enemies but you never know who is jealous

oh yeah and i definitely just freaked out like 90% of the girls on here

its not even funny but i am really starting to think this lol...i remember one time i was out with my family for a party i got home and hot the worst headache and was real sick and felt like puking, and this is gonna be weird to some but you're greek so you'll understand hahahahaha, but my moms friend was saying how somebody kept looking at me that night and something about the evil eye, i dont know what she did but all i know is that i was in the worst pain and within minutes she took it all away and while she had her hand on my head my head doing whatever she was doing she was tearing but i was just happy bc once she did it, all of a sudden it was all gone.

Whats this blue eye thing, let me know hahahaha.

I hear ya...Hence why Im up now when I need to be up in 5 hours! But most of non-sleep is related to a sinus infection! AHHH

However, remember what all of this is for. I am continually reminding myself that it is not about the wedding or everything being perfect...It's about the marriage and my FH and I joining together...At the end of the day that is what really counts.

seriously let me know, i am not even joking...is it just the evil eye or anything someone might've done...see i know a girl who used to do crazy things, she would bury things and light candles and do all these things to bring bad luck to ppl, well we all dont talk to her and its weird that those of us who dont talk to her all go through the same things, me and my moh talk and we go through the same problems but even weird things at once. Alot of it is a bunch of santeria things, does it apply to that...if not does anyone know someone into santeria...i know some are reading this thinking im crazy but i have dealt with these things before lol

From what I know it prevents you from catching it. What we talked about before with the oil and water things, that takes it off

Everyone gets to feel this way every now and than, what has always worked for me is meditation. Everyone will always have someone that envys them or even hates them, no matter what type of 'hex' is done to a person....meditation and faith in your own religion will repell any bullsh^t harm that anyone wants to do to you.

i UNDERSTAND that yes everyone gets like this every now and then, and i just said someone must've put a curse on me bc of how much bad luck im having but who knows it was just something i said doesnt take away from what is going on...this isnt just one of those days, i have real issues and problems and not just oh stressed out about the wedding but some serious stuff that have been going on for 6 months. Ill pray everyday and i try to stay positive bc i think positive energy brings positive things but its also getting to the point of 6 months of a serious problem going on that its really taking its toll on me. So who knows if anyone wants harm done to me, whether its true or not my problems are still real and there.

Im sorry you are experiencing problems, but please try to stay positive......trust me its what helps. Its very hard to stay positive when you feel like there is probably no hope, however....you can really change any circumstance and reverse any problem with remaining positive. Once you remain positive and truly believe that you will overcome this....you will only attract positive and optimistic things.

i have been the entire time staying positive, and trying to take things well and seeing it as just part of life, i even pray all the time. I am even asked how i am handling things the way i have and how am i able to even stay positive. Just seems that somehow it keeps coming back no matter what i am doing. I don't know at this point what to do kinda just feel i need a break from it all lol

The blue eye is almost similar to the horn. I wear a horn charm on my bracelet at all times.... I asked FMIL (she is greek) to give me the blue eye so i can wear that as well.

I truly believe in the whole 'evil eye'
