I seriously feel like I'm taking the DJ's job from him But I can't help it... I'm a HUGE music person with a list with every genre that I want played. Ugh I feel like the DJ's gonna hate me, but **** I use to DJ myself( Turntables and all lol) so he has to understand my needing to hear everything . I dunno what to do.

No, I actually gave my Dj's a longer list than the spaces they provided also. I think it makes it easier for them this way anyway...lol

I will be giving our DJ every single song we want played.... yes I am anal and am a huge music person esp. when drinking I love to hear my favorite songs and so does FH.

I'm supposed to be handing this in today...and I am freaking out!!! I'm a dance instructor so I have so many CDs etc and I am SO PICKY about my music.

My problem as I was writing mine down yesterday is that most of the songs I want to hear are more CH type songs than dancing songs.
I'm seriously considering giving my DJ burned CDs for the CH (which we will be attending) and then sitting down with him about the reception playlist. We just aren't into dance music at all! lol

I didn't have a very long list of must-play songs. I had my requests for the specific times, as well as a few other songs I wanted to hear. Then upon speaking with the DJ I said he could take requests so long as they made sense and told him NOT to play any line dances. I wanted him to just be able to feel the crowd and I have to say he did an amazing job. I am a big micro-manager but felt it was a good idea to allow him to be a DJ, otherwise I could have just hooked up my iPod. But that's JMO.

ITA!!!! We are music people and I purposely picked the DJ we booked becuase he will play what you want to hear!!!
