Am I the only one that didn't have fun registering??
We went yesterday to Fortunoff & Crate & Barrel. I was so overwhelmed by all the choices & had no idea what I wanted. I got so frustrated that we ended up leaving. Plus everything that I liked, FH talked me out of it saying that we didn't NEED it. Hello-we NEED everything! I am going to go back with my mom & FMIL & should be able to have an easier time that way. Did anyone else have the same feelings?

No, I HATED IT! And so did DH! We went home feeling so defeated. I finished my entire registry online, that was a lot more awesome than being at the store!

I did. Our first trip to Fortunoff, we left after and hour and didn't scan a thing. It was all so confusing and overwhelming. I finally finished it off by myself at BB&B though.

I had some problems registering also. I did mine at Fortunoffs and Bed Bath and Beyond. At Bed and Bath I had no problems but Fortunoffs took me a while. I went back there 4 or 5 times to do my registry.

My FH did the same thing 'we don;t need that'...that was annoying but I had fun regardless. Sorry about your experience.

I wasn't too into it - if not for Dan, our registry would have been only 1/4 completed.

FH and I went to Macy's yesterday and were there for three and a half hours. When we went back to the desk to return the scanner, the consultant printed out the list and it was a half page!!!!! After all that time and we got like 10 items. It is so hard...and I thought it was going to be so fun!

I HATED IT. I hated it so much that whatever we put down on the registry, I went the following week and DELETED IT ALL. I got a call from the rep at BBB, asking me if everything was okay, and I said 'yes, we're just not ready to make any selections just yet.'
I didn't do anything in the store, and did everything ONLINE and enjoy it now when I'm alone and can really see what I want or what I don't want.

i hated it at first. i registered at BB&B online and i went yesterday to update it. that was the first time i actually used the scanner. i didnt really care for it. i also registered at a place in australia. i had a little bit of a problem there, b/c i needed to find somewhere that you could order online and people could see the pics, b/c if family here got a gift i wanted them to at least see a pic of what they were getting.
to make a long story short online registries just dont happen there. they dont even have scanners. i went to the big department stores and they expect you to go around the store and write down barcodes. then thank god i found someone that just started up an internet registry and we went to a showroom and she helped us thru the whole process.
i find that it is easier if you find out what you want and write it down. that way you can see what it is and then you can decide.

I ABSOLUTELY hated it...it was nothing but a BIG headache...and your FH sounds like mine 'we don't need that'...ummm hello...YES WE DO... or 'We'll get this ourselves' What do you mean 'we'll' why not give other people the chance to buy it and if they don't THEN we'll buy it I'm adding all the linens closer towards my shower and I'll be doing it ONline...

I hated it. my FH had more fun than i did.
we went to macys and registered. i was so overwhelmed and miserable about it that when i did BBnB. i did it solely online. no way was i going into the store. so glad i'm done with it

I found it very exhausting. But you can always add and delete things online! FH will never know! Ah, the beauty of the internet!

I was exciting for about 2 minutes!!! It was so exhausting!!! I ended up adding and deleting things online. You're not the only one sweetie!!!

I hated it too. My DH was very involved with the whole thing and we fought about choices. We still don't have flatware!
BTW-if your FH is saying that we don't need it, just remind him that if you don't put stuff on your registry some people may buy you things that they like and you will end up returning a good portion of them.

I wasn't a big fan. But I like being able to go online when I want and add/delete things at whim.

FH and I I were so unmotivated at first that it has taken us about 5 months to get where we are on our registry (about 90% done). The first time we went, we did the china and silverware and then we were done for that day! We went back together another time and then I went myself a few weeks ago and got a lot done..and we did the rest online. I thought I was the only one!

HATED IT!!!!
I took my FH and he complained about EVERYTHING. He said we didn't need it. He said we have no where to put it. It was NOT fun. But then I went back with my mother and had a GREAT time!!!!

We have everything because we live together now. we keep talking about going but we don't go because we don't know what to put on it.... grrrr i am dreeding going
