Am I the only one that doesn't celebrate

Am I the only one that doesn't celebrate

Valentine's Day. we don't do much more that day than we would on any other day...I don't like the idea of a day designated to do nice things...I like many Valentine's Days throughout the year!

Nope, you're not the only one. We don't either. What a shocker!

Nope! We don't either! In fact we are spending Valentines Day moving the rest of the contents of DH's condo over to the house.

Now that's romance for ya!

You are definately not the only one...we used to at the beginning....now we may just give each other a card or something...

Nope, for us it is a normal day...We don't make it a special occasion...As FH says 'it is just another gimmick to get people to spend money!'

That is why we are doing nothing 'special' it is just another Tuesday night for us...Dinner & relax

We just get each other a romantic card or a funny card and we just curl up and watch tv/movie together. That's it. Nothing too fancy.

We've never made a big deal of it. I used to think that it was competely fabricated to sell cards (like mother's day) but it was started after some guy who was royalty ( in England, I think) gave his wife a Valentine gift....I'm sure this 'holiday' died and was revived by the card companies tho!!

yes we do... we usually go out to dinner, but this year we are cooking at home...

I love Valentines' day.. I think it's nice to celebrate our love......

We really dont do anything special.. maybe dinner, but not even on Valentines Day itself. All the restaurants usually have a pre-fixed menu & they jack up their prices-Its insane. Its a Tuesday night this year, so we will probably be home laying on the couch watching American Idol . Horrayy!!

i've always hated Vday and all its excessive displays of love... BS if you ask me. You should celebrate your love everyday.

I felt that way for the first couple of years, being a scorned single person for so long

This year I mentioned something to my FH and he's all about doing something (odd). I think it's because our schedules have both taken us in totally different directions recently and around then we'll be due for a special night out (we do those a lot when we haven't spent a lot of time together).

We carry our teenage hatred of valentine's day over into adulthood. Tuesday nights are date night anyway, so no matter what, we were going to be together for the night.

We don't really celebrate it - I told FH that I could care less if he forgets it. ALthough we will probably go out to eat - but we use any excuse to go out for food!

my feeling is, if you are happen to be in the mood for it on 2/14, then go for it....but if the mood doesn't strike you until 3/12 or something...go for it then....it just shouldn't be forced or expected, I feel.

Ha ha!! Yeah! When FH and first moved in together, we did it on Valentine's Day almost two years ago. Then we went to a Diner, got take out, and went home to eat it on our boxes! Ahhhh.....can you feel the romance!
Now, this V-Day the same thing is happening. We are getting ready to move into our condo and will probably be packing. Yay for V-Day!!! Lol
