I am f-r-e-a-k-i-n out! I have been engaged for over 2 months and we have been looking but NOTHING is appealing to me. I have def looked at beautiful places but I don't get the...'THIS IS IT!!!!!!!' feeling.
I just feel so terribly behind the ball....just very frustrated!

What are you looking for in a hall? Location? # of people? Avg price p/person?
I looked at 15 halls before choosing mine. It was the last one i looked at too and i walked out of the parking lot skipping (gay i know) lol.

For me, picking the venue was the most stressful part! where have you looked? What are you looking for in a hall? what location?
Im sure we can help you find other places

dont worry girl. you will find the place that is best for you both!! i got engaged at the end of september...started looking at places in november...and didnt book a place till mid-february....
so instead of a fall 2009 wedding we are having a spring 2010 wedding. all good tho!!
so relax...keep looking...and use these boards to get suggestions and reviews!! good luck!!

This site helps a lot....Take advantage of it and read reviews!!! You can find out pretty much everything up to pricing on here. I got a feel for what I wanted and narrowed it down to three places. I refused to drive myself nuts and look all over the place. The minute I walked into my RH I knew it was 'the one'. You will know!!! I think it makes it worse when you give yourself TOO many options to look at so that's why doing your reasearch and narrowing it down when it comes time to visit these places can be a big help. Don't feel behind. I got engaged in December and didn't look at halls until the end of March. The first one we looked at gave us the 'THIS IS THE ONE!!!' feeling but we continued our search...we didn't book it until the end of April, I believe.
We can help to point you in the right direction if you tell us a few things...how many people are you expecting? Do you want to be the only wedding that day? Do you want to have your ceremony there? Do you want something with outdoor capability? Nassau or Suffolk? What do you want to pay per person?
What places have you looked at so far?

We got engaged in Dec 08 and didn't pick a hall until beginning of May. We looked at a lot of places then stopped for a few weeks and I keep coming back to one we saw already.

Don't worry - we looked at 12 places before we found ours. Then we picked ours - Westbury Manor, booked it and signed the contract. Then had to change it because we realized the room would be too cramped and went with Chateau Briand. Just booked on Sunday.

Don't worry, we were all there! I got soo stressed out and at one point I felt hopeless and just wanted to give up looking, I thought we would never find the ONE. Don't just settle for anything, keep looking and trust me you'll find the one that gives you that feeling!!
