Am I the only one who can't pick a Venue???

Original post by StellaStar13

Ladies.....

I am f-r-e-a-k-i-n out! I have been engaged for over 2 months and we have been looking but NOTHING is appealing to me. I have def looked at beautiful places but I don't get the...'THIS IS IT!!!!!!!' feeling.

I just feel so terribly behind the ball....just very frustrated!

Thanks for letting me vent!

don't worry. when i first got engaged i was in such shock that i had no idea what to do first so i did nothing. FH had to call my sister & have her set up appointments to look at RHs. we didn't decided on an RH until we where engaged for 6 months & we didn't officially book until 3 months after that.

definitely don't rush! there are plenty of halls out there to see. you dont want to end up picking a RH and regretting it later so take your time!

***We are going to Westbury Manor tonight***

We are inviting about 200 so will prob end up w/ 160-175

I am looking to stay in Nassau or Suffolk....I really don't want to go past Wading River in Suffolk.

We love the water and would consider that & I guess we are open for anything except super modern or anything too Italian (i.e. tons of marble or gold finishing...reminds me of my grandma's house)

Averg price per person, I would like to stay about $110

Thanks Ladies I really appreciate it!!!

You should definitely check out the Swan Club! It's so pretty there, and it on the harbor. Of course, I'm biased since I'm booked there
If you want any info about quotes for next summer, FM me - I have the details at home

I went to a bunch of the ones you did, we went with Westbury Manor but the room that they wanted to give us only held 140 ppl and even with 120 in there, it looked too small. The place is really beautiful there - very nice comfy feel to it and the gardens are gorgeous. We ended up going with Chateau Briand beacause we loved the oasis outside, the cocktail room, the ballroom is beautiful and it's right next to a hotel. Let me know if you have any questions about any place.
