Am I the only one who Detest the Entrance Arch in the Reception

My FH and I were watching a marathon of 'Four Weddings' and I was cracking up saying, I don't like those arches the bridal party does when the bride and groom enter the reception room. I think it's soo cheezy. I guess I must be the only one as my friends thought I was crazy! LOL

What are your thoughts Bride Mates?

I HATE them! I think it's so awkward when the bride and groom have to run through and the shot is always of the bride's cleavage. We are not doing it.

yeah pretty lame- done at EVERY wedding though lol

EVERY DJ on long island does it I feel like. I'm sure if nothing is said specifically about it, the DJ most likely will just have the bridal party line up like that

We're not doing it, I just find it really awkward.. I told my mom, and she thought I was crazy because she thinks it's so much fun and has to be part of a wedding lol.. But yep, not doing it..

This is exactly why we aren't doing it! My FH doesn't even want to be announced since he thinks it's an awkward pep rally for the bride and groom. I think he has the entrance arch in his head when he thinks of an entrance so that's why he is so against it. I told him we definitely have to be announced but the bridal party will just go to their seats after walking in.

We had one but I didn't know I was having one until we were introduced. It didn't bother me. None on the weddings I have been to did it so it was new to me.

I think sometimes the photos of it look really cool but my husband didn't want it because he's so tall it's really awkward for him. He's at least half a foot taller than everyone in the bridal party haha.
I thought they were just going to line everyone up instead but they had the bridal party off to one side and it was fine like that!

lmao! HUSBAND and i never discussed it and right as the bridal party was lined up the emcee acked if we wanted that and at the same time we said 'no!' lol.

This is another reason I don't want to do the arch. My FH is 6'3 and the only other person taller than him is his eldest brother, who's 6'7. But still I'll pass. Although like someone else mentioned, it does kind of look nice in pics.
