You are NOT wrong. I would take issue with FMIL for having the brass ones to make such a phone call, and the hall for not consulting you before just agreeing to such a thing.

WOW! She's got a ton of nerve calling the hall. Its wrong to bring this up at this point regardless---but to take it upon herself to call the hall IS INSANE. Why would you hall take this from her??? She's not the bride or groom. OMG, I am in shock.
