I'm not inviting plus 1's unless it's a serious relationship, if you're currently single, it's unlikely that it'll be serious enough by the wedding. Weddings are expensive!

FH & I had this discussion with some of his friends & they explained it as, the majority of people at the wedding will be couples. & its a very depressing situation to be put in. they also said that our wedding will be a celebration & they would also like to be able to get up & dance as well.
just somethings you may want to consider.
we compromised with the guys & said that when we get 'NOs' they will be offered the & guest.

Well I don't think your wrong, but if your coworker is not familar with your family and friends , she might feel a bit lonely or uncomfortable at the wedding. If you have invited other cowrkers then I think just inviting her is fine if she's single because she will know other people there.

I don't think you're wrong for not adding a +1 but I don't know that I would have said anything now... since there is so much time for things to change, I think I would have left the window open for myeslf to do what I feel is right when it's time for invites to go out.
That being said, people in general need to chill the eff out when it comes to other people's weddings. They get so damn insulted over every little thing...GAH! You're invited! That's enough!

You are way more on top of things than I am - I refuse to even think about those details at this point. I guess I will get a rough number in my head and then get down to it in next year.

considering everthing you guys said...I asked my co-worker today if I had offended her...she told me that she understands my position and was not offended at all.She said she knows I am on a budget and apologized about her reaction at first.
I am however keeping all my planning to myself from now on...
