My friend's boyfriend of 5 years never goes anywhere with her, so even down to my wedding he will not go so instead she always brings her mom. i have never met her mom and honestly i don't want 'strangers' at my wedding, so should i tell her how i feel about no wanting her to bring her mom. or when you send an invite with guest you really have no right to pick the guest. But i am not inviting everyone with a guest only if they are in serious relationships, so i am afraid people will be like why was i not allowed to bring a guest but this one brought her mom....
sorry if its confusing thanks for the help

If you want to specify that you are inviting her and her boyfriend (as opposed to 'and guest'), just address the invite to them by name (for example: Ms. Mary Friend and Mr. John Boyfriend)
agreed...

Yea i guess i am over reacting a little bit but her mom is loud and thinks she is still a teenager and dresses very sexy.. but i will just deal considering its not like i have to spend the day with them alone lol.. thanks i'll address the invite for her and her bf and see what happens
I thought you said she was a stranger and you don't know her..then how do you know how she dresses. And even if she does dress that way why does it concern you. This is her mother you know and I don't see what the difference is if she brings him or the boyfriend. It's her guest.

Also agreed. Any of my friends that are in serious relationships are not being invited 'with guest.' Both names will be written out on the envelope.
agreed, just address the envelope correctly.

if bringing her mom makes her comfortable instead of being alone and uncomfortable i dont think its that bad....its her family and not a stranger i think it will work out.
i agree with this.
