Amazing Wedding Cakes

Did anyone watch that? Makes me reeealy pay attention to how much work realy is involved in making our cakes. I'm sticking with something tradational, but still... it's scarey the things that they can do! That sand castle looked JUST LIKE real sand!! All you ladies doing the beach theme that's sooo cool!

I'm watching now too--I LOVEEE watching them make these cakes--they are so incredibly talented!!!!!

I agree, that sand castle cake is perfect for a beach theme!!

that show is big on Fondant, and if you eatting fondant before it is pure sugar yuck!!. but dont get me wrong i love the show and i love their work.

i really like this show - im not too crazy about the cake atelier though - the one in NYC....they have boring plain cakes i tihnk its fun to see how the other cakes are made.....jmo though

did you see the guitar one for the 5th anniversary!? My FH wants one now haha.
As an avid baker seeing them make some of these cakes nearly gives me close to a heart attack

actually the one in NY cake atelier.. has already split up - the two women went their separate ways which is NOT surpising if you watch the show. .but I agree - they seem to be the least interesting of the batch. . still so cool. . I bake and almost wanted to make my own but my MOH said she would tie me to a chair if i tried. .

Whhhaaaat? That orchid cake was to die for and the other ones they shwed...with all those flower details...they were my fave..although I love the princess cake...I am not big on weird cakes, like guitars and stuff...at least not for weddings.

oh right, i would never have a guitar as my wedding cake. only as a grooms cake if at all. I just thought it was neat what they can do.

the orchid cake was nice...too plain for me but the work that goes into those flowers is insane.

I do! lol... I will watch anything wedding related... sad I know But I do understand their crazy prices now .. there is alot of work involved in those flowers and things!

I actually walk by the NY one - the wedding altier all the time and I always hope to see one of the girls come down with cakes

no, I totally agree that the orchid one was beautiful. and for weddings I would rather have that than a guitar, just meant least intersting, like different.
