A man kidnapped his baby and the mother of the baby and shot the grandmother. The police are in the middle of a high speed chase on Route 22 in Jersey He said he wanted to commit a murder suicide.

Omg, how horrible.

It's really getting crazy how so many kids are being kidnapped and a lot of them are by people they know...

How awful. I hope they catch him soon

The little girl is 4 month old.

My error he shot the grandfather. He has now pulled into a dead end area. I don't know what is he going to do. He is in a town house development

The police are holding them in the development. The police operator is on the phone with the man holding them.

They have traveled from Newark and are now in the area of Philipsburg.

The little baby's name is Jada Saunders.

Omg, I hope they get her out safely.

Poor baby ans mommy

WOW they said that this man tried to kidnap the baby's mother in March also! He headed to the GWB. But it wasn't reported right away so by the time they got there with the warrant he no longer lived at the last address.

The Grandfather was there to escort her to and from work because she didn't feel safe.

ITs on the news now and they have him trapped but they are all still in the car...nut job and not to be selfish but it really pisses me off when I am watching something and the TV channel decides to say 'sorry you wont be watching this anymore as we are going to make you watch this hostage situation'. I know I have an off switch but I was watching the view and Ty pennington was just coming on

This is still going on. The poor baby!!! He is now requesting a specific detective from Newark I can't believe he would do this to his own kid!

I think I just heard that the mom and baby are fine, and the grandfather is in the hospital and is expected to recover!!!

The dad is still in the car, he hasn't given himself up yet.
